Frank Wright - Head Varsity Coach
Coach Wright was a three sport athlete in high school and a two time All Far Western Conference infielder at Cal State University, Hayward, coach Wright was drafted and signed by the Kansas City Royals in 1969.  His Coaching career started in 1972 as the Head Varsity Coach at Buchser High School in Santa Clara, California.  After five League, and a  Regional Championship over an eight year tenure, the Wright family moved to Idaho to pursue a healthier, safer, life style.  A short venture into the business world convinced Coach Wright that education and Coaching were what he was meant to do.  Tenures at Meridian (4 Sophomore District Championships and two Varsity State championships), Centennial ( 3 SIC championships and 5 trips to the state tournament) led to his current job at Eagle High.  The Mustangs have played in 3 of the last 6 State finals and the 2003 club went 29-1 en route to a State Championship and a National Ranking.  Over a hundred of Coach Wright's former players have entered the college ranks and several have played professionally.  Most notable of that group is Mark Langston, a four time All Star and two time strike out king in the American League.  Joe Charboneau, 1980 AL rookie of the year with Cleveland, and Rick Bauer, a current big league pitcher, also played for Coach Wright.     5 Victories this year will put him over 600 for a career that has spanned 36 years.    The Wright family consists of wife Gayle, a retired teacher, son Matt and daughter Sara, both students at BSU.

Emil Drzayich Jr. - Hitting and Bench Coach
Emil hails from Mingo Junction, Ohio, a small steel town on the Ohio River near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  He graduated from Mingo High School in 1973.  He received a baseball scholarship to Ohio University in the Mid-American Conference.  He garnered all-conference and all-region honors while playing for the Bobcats.  He also broke the career home run record, then held by Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt of the Philadelphia Phillies.  In 1978 he moved west to Boise to pursue his dream of playing professional baseball.  He played with the Boise Buckskins and then went on to play with the Victoria Mussels, both Independent teams in the Northwest League.  Success there brought the opportunity to sign with the Cincinnati Reds organization where he played in Cedar Rapids for their single A long season affiliate, the Cedar Rapids Reds.
Forced into early retirement, Emil has satisfied his passion for the game by staying involved as a coach for many years in youth baseball in the Eagle area.  Working with his four sons over the years has been a great blessing to him.  All four have played for Coach Wright at Eagle High.
Zac, his oldest, is a graduate of BSU in construction management.  Nick graduated in 2003 and was a member of the State Champion Mustangs.  He is now a coach in the program.  Jake and Mack are members of the Brigham Young University baseball squad, both going the walk-on route to achieve their dream of playing D-1 baseball.
Emil married the former Peggy Ann Bingham in 1979.  He is so grateful for her support over the many years “at the yard”.   Her involvement in the Eagle High program has been extensive over the years.  She has devoted much time and effort into making the Eagle High Mustang baseball program better.
