Here is more information on our Legion program and what is due when. Please read the entire message. Tryouts begin tomorrow – May 18th. The players must bring their list of unavailable dates to Coach Barsanti.
All players trying out for a Legion Team must turn in the American Legion Player Form (this form does NOT need to be notarized), Viper Registration Form, the player’s original certified birth certificate (copies not accepted) and the required fees payable to Eagle Baseball, Inc. The forms are attached to this email. These completed forms and birth certificate are due on Wednesday, May 19th. I will be at the field, starting at 4:30 PM to collect the paperwork. Parents do not need to hand in these forms and certificate, please make sure they are complete.
The cost for 2010 Legion Baseball is $600 per player with the player having the option of fundraising for a portion. Please provide two checks – 1 for $400 and 1 for $200, these checks will be collected at our Parent Meeting – Date and Time to be announced ASAP. The first check for $400 should have a current date and will be deposited prior to the first game in Eagle Baseball’s account. The second check should be dated June 28, 2010 and will be held until the fundraising deadline of June 28th. If your son has met their fundraising goal of $200 net to our program, your $200 check will be returned, un cashed. Fundraising options will be discussed at the Parent Meeting.
As during the high school season, parents are assigned various duties including concession, gate, announcer, scorekeeper, statistician, etc. This can only work if ALL parents help out!
Games will begin on June 4th and continue through mid-July. District and State tournaments will follow with potential to play through early August. Play includes one travel tournament for each team. Updated schedules can be found on our website here.
