
Frank was a three sport athlete at Lincoln High in San Jose California, playing on Championship teams in Football, Basketball, and Baseball. He began his college career at San Jose City College in 1965 and then transferred to then Division 2 Cal-State Hayward where he was a two time 1st team All-Conference 1st baseman and the first Hayward player ever drafted or signed. He played parts of two seasons in the Kansas City Royals organization before returning to school to complete his teaching degree.
Coach Wright began his coaching career in 1972 when he was hired as a Head Varsity Coach at Buchser High School in Santa Clara, California. He and his family including wife Gayle, son Matt, and daughter Sara, moved to Idaho in 1979. After a brief business career he returned to his passion, teaching Biology and coaching. Stops at Meridian High School, and Centennial High School, followed before Coach settled at Eagle. Frank's teams have won 642 games, sent 3 players to the Major Leagues, (Mark Langston, Joe Charboneau, & Rick Bauer), and won many championships at the League, District, and State level. Most notably for Eagle fans was the 2003 State Championship Team that went 29-1 and ended ranked #26 in the Nation according to Collegiate Baseball News. His philosophy is pretty simple...Play hard, play smart, pay attention to detail, and win!
"2010 is promising to say the least. We return a nucleus that includes the entire infield, catcher, and DH from a team that went 25-7 in '09. Although we lack pitching experience, we do have a staff with strong arms, good stuff, and a degree of toughness. The Mustangs should be serious contenders for a State Championship in 2010".

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, Coach Harper enters his fifteenth year with Eagle Mustang baseball. Coach Harper was a two sport letterman out of Ben Davis High School. He earned All-Conference and All-State honors in baseball and basketball while at Ben Davis. After baseball, Coach Harper entered the military where he spent twenty years, retiring in 1997. At Eagle High School, Coach Harper started his coaching career as Assistant Sophomore Coach. After three years as an assistant coach, Coach Harper took the Head Sophomore Coaching position. In the five years as Head Sophomore Coach, Coach Harper’s teams racked–up an impressive 92 and 34 record with three appearances in the district championship. In 2003 during the state playoffs Coach Harper took over as the Varsity first base coach as Eagle went on to win the 2003 State Championship. In 2004 Coach Harper was appointed Assistant Varsity Coach and is entering his seventh year. In addition to high school baseball, Coach Harper was the Head Coach for the Eagle Vipers American Legion team. Coach Harper spent seven years as the Single A coach and in 2004 was hired as the AA coach. Coach Harper spent four years coaching the Eagle Owls in Idaho’s first summer college baseball league (Boise Collegiate Summer Baseball League). Coach Harper is also an Associate Scout with the Detroit Tigers. Coach Harper and his wife Alicia reside in Eagle; they have two children, Chad 27 and Corey 25. Corey was a member of the “2003 State Championship Team” and went on to pitch for the Pratt Beavers and Blue Mountain Timberwolves.
