Jesse Dodd was chosen channel 2 United Dairymen's player of the week.  Presentation will be Sunday Night on the 10:00 news.

Here’s some alumni news...

Allen Langdon (2005) has signed with a club in the Canadian Independent league.  Allen was a 10th round pick of the Houston Astros after his senior season at Eagle and signed a  bonus contract with the club.  All conference, all State, all American.  Allen hit some prodigious home runs for the Mustangs and remains Eagles first and only drafted player.  We're all hopeful Allen succeeds as a pro player.  Good speed, good arm, tremendous swing and power.  Given time, Allen could make the grade!

Forrest Cannon (2006)  Forrest was the Gatorade player of the year as a Senior and accepted a scholarship to University of Santa Barbara where he is competing as a Sophomore.  An arm injury shortened his frosh season but Forrest throws with great velocity and has a chance to be outstanding at the division one level.  Forrest was the speaker at Graduation as the class Valedictorian and remains an outstanding student.

Nick Bolthouse (2004) is a starting pitcher and co-captain at St.Martins University in Washington.  Nick has had an outstanding career academically and athletically and will graduate after four years.......a real accomplishment when playing college athletics!

Tanner Gronowski (2004) is the other co-captain at St. Martins and an outstanding outfielder.  Tanner will also graduate in four years in pre-med and attend medical school next fall if all goes according to plan.  The staff is very proud of Tanner and Nick for gleaning the best athletics has to offer while making a maximum effort in the classroom.  Outstanding young man.

Joe Southers (2004) is completing his senior year at Kansas.  Joe was an all conference, all state, and collegiate baseball news all American Catcher at Eagle.  ;He attended Phoenix Community College where he hit over .400 and was an All Conference and All District selection.  Joe authored the most amazing hitting streak any of us can remember when he started his senior year with a 23 of 27 barrage of line drives the likes of which none of the coaches have seen before or since.

Chris Needham (2003) finally decided to give college baseball a try.  His "comeback" has been successful as he has made the starting rotation at Treasure Valley Community College.  Chris continues to pitch well and the staff is very proud of his accomplishment and his decision to pursue a teaching and coaching career.

Nick Morris (2003) is pitching at Western Oregon after two successful seasons at Blue Mountain CC in Pendleton where he was an All Conference selection.  Nick was the "Ace" of the 2003  club an All Conference and All State selection.

Mack Drzayich (2007) is a freshmen redshirt at BYU after an incredible senior season at Eagle.  After playing go first base at Eagle, Mack made the club at BYU as a Third Baseman.  Mack was an all conference selection in football and the Hall of Fame choice of the football program.  He was all conference and all state in baseball as well as the Hall of Fame choice.  No one in Eagle history has won both honors!  In addition, Mack spoke at Graduation as the 2007 Valedictorian!  Mack will serve an LDS mission in the Ukraine and then return to play baseball at BYU.

Jake Drzayich (2004) is playing his freshmen year at BYU after a two year LDS mission to South Korea.  Jake is a former All Conference and All State first baseman at Eagle and a Hall of Fame choice.  His senior year at Eagle Jake hit .500 to set the season record for hitting.  Two years away from the game produced some "rust' but Jake continues to find his stroke and looks to break into the Cougars lineup when all is said and done.  A great competitor and talented athlete!

Chris Joblin (2003).  Chris was the SIC player of the year as a senior.  All State and a Hall of Fame choice, Chris attended Lamarr in Colorado and matriculated to Central Missouri, one of the nations top D-2 schools, where he started at second base as a junior.  Arm surgery has delayed his senior season but Chris will play for the mules next season after his recovery.
Chris is clearly Eagle's best ever middle infielder with lightening hands and the best baseball sense the coaches can recall in any player.

Josh Davis.  (2006) Big Josh continues his collegiate career at Spokane CC where he is a starter.  He spent his frosh season at Lamarr then transferred back to the Northwest.  6'8"......as the saying goes...you can't coach size!  Josh has huge promise and it wouldn't surprise any of us to seem him develop into a true prospect.

Jon Osterburg. (2006  Jon was an outstanding receiver in football and center fielder for Eagle with great speed and a nice stroke.  He too transferred to Spokane CC after a frosh season at Lamarr.  Jon continues to compete for a starting spot.  A very athletic young man with lots of promise.

Steve Alverson (2002)  After completing an outstanding College career as Louisiana Tech's closer, Steve has played two seasons of pro baseball in the Florida Independent League.  Not sure if he will continue to play but Steve is in the books as Eagles all time most successful pitcher.

Justin Moore
(2006) is an outfielder at Shoreline CC in Washington.  Justin passed on his senior year at Eagle but discovered a love for the game and played Legion ball where he excelled.  He continues to develop and the staff is proud of what he's accomplished.
